{"id":3356,"date":"2024-03-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-14T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tm.reventor.eu\/news\/ce4ce-circularity-lifecycle-in-public-transport\/"},"modified":"2024-03-14T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-03-14T00:00:00","slug":"ce4ce-circularity-lifecycle-in-public-transport","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/trolleymotion.eu\/news\/ce4ce-circularity-lifecycle-in-public-transport\/","title":{"rendered":"CE4CE-Circularity Lifecycle in Public Transport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are thrilled to share with you that last Thursday 7<sup>th<\/sup> March <strong>within the framework of CE4CE project<\/strong> there was organized <strong>a groundbreaking transnational event<\/strong> on the innovative and challenging topic of the <strong>adoption of a circular economy think and action in the Public Transport sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>An online workshop entitled <strong>\u201cCircularity Lifecycle in Public Transport\u201d<\/strong> was attended by about 20 PT experts from various backgrounds, including representatives of <strong>public transport operators, academia, engineers, technical specialists, traffic engineering managers and energy managers from bus\/e-bus, trolleybus, tram, railway and energy sectors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants took an active part and shared their <strong>valuable insights<\/strong><strong> how to incorporate circularity principles in PT<\/strong> in moderated, interactive, <strong>round table discussions<\/strong> on the whole public transport life cycle grouped in three main areas: <strong>Vehicles, Energy and Infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With <strong>the<\/strong><strong> challenge of the introduction of circular economy into PT sector<\/strong> being quite new but without any doubt inevitable, the event gave all the participants some food for thought how to <strong>influence a transformative change and contribute to shaping pathways to more circular public transport systems in Central Europe and beyond<\/strong> in order to <strong>achieve climate neutrality and a more sustainable use and consumption of resources<\/strong>.
