Hangzhou Gets New Tbus!🤪🚎
Today ,saw the debut of the new trolleybuses in hangzhou.A total number of 30 (currently 4of them come with retro livery and their Weg. No. are from the old fleet)new Gelly C12E have replaced the young man trolleybuses since earlier this morning. 8 of them are assigned to service K155 and the rest of them all goes to service 151.
Hangzhou once had a vast trolleybus system, which began in 1961. However, in the 20th century, many trolleybus lines were converted to bus routes due to road and subway construction. Today, only two lines remain. Fortunately, the oldest, Route 151, opened in 1961 and remains in operation today.
However,There still aren’t enough new trolleybuses. Even after all the new Trolleybuses are on the road, some electric buses will still operate on Hangzhou’s only two remaining tram lines,151 and k155 .To make matters worse, a rectifier station on Line 151 has been closed for cost reasons, forcing trolleybuses to lower their poles on some sections of the route.
Trolleybuses were once a symbol of communist countries. However, following Russia, China has also brutally eliminated its trolleybus system. Just a few days ago, Luoyang’s trolleybus system was completely shut down. China’s trolleybus system has reached an irreversible point. Perhaps in a few years, when Hangzhou’s new 🚎 have aged, the system in Hangzhou will be gone for good. Who knows? In China, policies change with the passing of time.
Anything is possible.
