An 18-metre long articulated trolleybus is being tested at present in the streets of Pilsen. It is part of the half-billion contract that ŠKODA ELECTRIC has for the American city of Boston. The first 28 vehicles, the low-platform version 12 metres long, were sent to Boston by June 2004. The delivery is underway of the electrical unit for 32 low-platform trolleybuses. The first “artic” is being completed in the CR (Pilsen) and the remaining 31 will be completed under the supervision of Škoda in the USA.
